On May 25, 2018 GDPR went into full effect – so what exactly does that mean for digital agencies?
For starters, it means you are responsible for safeguarding the data of your audience, from potential leads who sign-up to get notified when you publish a new blog to your customers.
As a digital agency owner, it’s important for you to make sure you’re fully compliant with all of the latest privacy and security requirements from around the world.
The internet allows us to interact with anyone, but that means we have the responsibility to stay up-to-date with the compliance requirements beyond just our own country.
Discover what GDPR means for digital agencies in this snippet of a live training video I hosted with compliance expert John “The Agile Monk” Fisher below.
What GDPR Means for Digital Agencies
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) officially went into effect on Friday, May 25th, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need to worry about how it impacts your digital agency anymore.
Whether you’re located in the European Union or not, it’s important to comply with GDPR and all privacy and security compliance requirements, which are growing stricter around the world – including in the US!
That’s why I invited Remote Agency Society member and compliance expert John “The Agile Monk” Fisher to join me for a Facebook Live training session on what GDPR means for digital agencies.
Want even more advice on what GDPR means for digital agencies and your marketing strategy?
John has created a free Facebook group, The GDPR Zone, where he and his team at The Agile Monks help digital marketers understand compliance, privacy, and eCommerce.
